We're going to make sure the answer is: plenty.
HOW IT WORKS
SAME POTTERY.

SAME AMOUNT OF TIME.
Every person receives the exact same pottery piece and the same professionally painted inspiration to recreate.
You'll have access to the same paints, supplies and tools.
Then the clock starts.
Your job?
THE DISASTERS...
JUST WHEN YOU START FEELING CONFIDENT...
Throughout the competition, the music will stop.
The alarm will sound.
And we'll announce:
HOLIDAY DISASTER!
AND...
SUDDENLY...
you might be painting with your non-dominant hand.
Or wearing giant winter gloves.
Or losing a paint color.
Or discovering that your brushes are experiencing a supply chain crisis.
Maybe The Grinch gets involved.
We're not telling you everything.
YOU HAVE ONE JOB:
KEEP PAINTING.

NOPE.
COMPLETELY INDIVIDUALLY. SURVIVE TOGETHER.
Every painter has their own pottery piece and competes individually.
But this isn't some silent art competition.
Bring your friends.
We'll seat you together.
Help each other.
Give advice.
Share techniques.
Tell your best friend her reindeer looks like a possum.
Whatever it takes.
The only rule: You can't paint someone else's piece.
Then:

Here's the catch:
YOU CAN'T USE IT ON YOURSELF.
Every contestant receives one Christmas Miracle to give to another painter.
Use it to rescue a friend from a Disaster, give them an advantage, or help them when things have gone terribly wrong.
You may be competing...
but nobody should have to survive a Holiday Disaster alone.
This adds just enough heart underneath all the chaos.
SO...
WHAT ARE WE PAINTING?
NICE TRY.
Everyone will receive the same premium holiday pottery piece.
Everyone will see the inspiration at the same time.
And we're not revealing either one until event night.
No practicing.
No planning.
No Pinterest tutorials.
YOU'LL SEE IT WHEN EVERYONE ELSE DOES.
AND WHEN WE SAY...

DOWN.
When the clock hits zero, that's it.
No touch-ups.
No “just one more little thing.”
No hiding your questionable artistic choices.
We'll collect every piece, glaze it and fire it at The Hip Kiln.
